Well, He is here!! Thanks again (ad nauseum) for him, we love him, he's hilarious! He was very good last night, no crying or anything. We can't believe how good he is after only one night. How frightening going interstate on an aeroplane then meeting 2 people you don't know then coming home to three cats! He has been good with the cats so far and the cats have been really good too. Now he's a little bit more cautious when trying to lick them!! Must go but just wanted to give you the run down so far. We will try to send photos soon but just realised all our cameras are at work at the moment-der! He will meet his Granny later, and his Aunty, Uncle and cousins tonight. He is booked into pre-puppy school at the vet and is going for a quick check on Tuesday. They loved him at the vet (he came down for a spin in the car-very well behaved and we bought him a doggie seatbelt), they said they haven't seen a dobermann pup for a while!

He was absolutely fine in the car on the way home, in fact, he was cuddling me the whole time. He is the sweetest boy.   He did not want to sleep last night, he wanted to explore his new home.   I slept down stairs with him and i turned off all the lights and he finally went to sleep, but he would not sleep in the bed we bought him, he had to sleep next to me on the floor. Last night he started going potty in the spot Justin and I wanted him to, and he has continued to do so today. He has also been listening to us. At the moment he wont leave my side which is so cute. Diesel met Justin this morning, as Justin arrived from Manila this morning.   They have hit it off too. We love him so much, thank you for giving us an opportunity to own one of your gorgeous dobes!!!! Will send through an update and a few photos soon.

Hi,

We have finally decided to name our little girl 'Mya'. I love to sit outside for breakfast and just watch Mya play she keeps herself company so well and rarely sits down. It hasn't taken us long to fall in love, her face is so beautiful and you just want to cuddle her all the time, which she loves. She also loves meeting us at the gate when we come home and walks all over the other dogs to say hi first. Anyway will keep you posted as she grows. But thanks again for the opportunity to be owners of a beautiful pup.

Hey guys,

Just a really quick email to let you know Force is home safe and sound he is just really buggered poor little guy the flight must have taken it out of him a lot he was falling asleep in the car on the way home as well as jumping and smelling everything in the car :). He is absolutely gorgeous :) and once again thank you for giving us the opportunity to not only become a proud owner of a Dobermann but also part of the Bladedge family :) thanks guys will get some pics tomorrow of the little guy and send them, also will keep sending lots of photo's.

Thought I’d send you another update re Nina.  All is going extremely well and Nina has settled in totally.   Zulu (Another Bladedge Dobermann) dotes on her and the whippet has come around.  Nina is very bright (almost totally toilet trained – not bad after 2 weeks!!!),  very cuddly (you’re right, she is a lap sitter – although not for very long these days….) and has an amazing appetite.  We enjoy her so very much and – again – we are very happy you’ve matched her up with us.  She is a sweetheart and very happy here!   All the very best, and big paw from Zulu, who is now in charge by the way.

Penny travelled magnificently in the car on the way home today, she slept nearly all the way.  We stopped at Gundagai and she went to the toilet.  Thank you very much for her puppy pack she loves her bed and toys. She is a very clever girl and you can really see her taking in everything.  She has learnt he way around here pretty well already and has of course met Ebony and our cats and is getting along very well with everyone.  She is a wonderful addition to our family.

Just thought I would let you know that Valor has well and truly settled in and made herself at home! She is so forward and curious, it's great! Nothing has phased her, and she is just the cutest snugly little girl! Puppy arrived safe an well....Thank you very much.  She is beautiful and what a wonderful personality.  Still deciding on a name tonight.  Not sure what name suits her yet, so just calling her 'puppy' until later tonight, need a bit more thought to that, since she will have the name for good. AND thank you so much for all the puppy stuff!  She is having a bit of a sleep now, so I'm going to have a quick read of some of it and will go through it all later on.  Will soon fill you in a bit more of what she got up for on her first day here. Thanks for all you have done, for choosing her, for all your help to my pesky emails, and for the things you sent down, perfect timing, had just driven up the driveway and the postal van turned up and handed me the box.

The puppy pack has just arrived. Baron thinks is Christmas. So many gifts. Thank you very much. Thank you also for the papers and the information pack. Plenty to read/study in the weeks to come. Baron is doing very well, we love him already. He is like a little dynamo, full of energy, and so clever.

I went through the puppy folder again today and found the DVD I had forgotten to watch. It was great and full of great information.  I have to say that your Dobermans are way, way, way better looking than any of the ones on the American sections of the DVD. Their shape and conformation of head and nose & body etc is so nicely balanced and in proportion, you truly must be so proud of your breeding program as we certainly are proud to have such a beautifully bred pup. Brandy is coming along well.  She has doubled in size I would say and has a lovely nature.

After the first week with Deisel there is only one thing to say....... He is perfect!!
He has the dearest loving nature that is just dobe's all over. Intelligence that I had almost forgotten (it's 10 years since I lost my Ben). I cannot tell you what joy this little man has bought to my life in just one week. He is such a good boy. He always obliges when we go out to 'toilet' and has only used the newspaper a couple of times. He already knows what 'no' means. He cried a couple of times the first night as I told you, the next night just once and not at all since. He sleeps all night and has 3 big naps in the day time (good for growing). He gets on so well with my daughter's dog Molly (an old Irish wolfhound x bull mastiff). Molly is very gentle with him and thinks that he was bought for her. She doesn't like me to take him home. He plays with my grandchildren who adore him. He also helps me around the house, you know the usual sweeping, pruning, shredding of paper and relocating of shoes etc. You were so right about his form and lines. I watch him prancing around the lawn and he is magnificient!

Received puppy pack this afternoon.  Well you guys certainly know how to surprise.  Thank you for ALL these goodies and the mega folder.  Came as a total surprise as we had already received a blanket and toy from the flight up here and we were not expecting anything more.  Saphira is 100%.  Bright as a spark, eating really well, she is drinking well too. She was an absolute dynamo this afternoon as we know dobermanns can be – I am looking forward to seeing her running as I have missed seeing the sheer joy that they get out of it.  Allan says to say that the Information pack is incredible – which it is I might add. So a great big thank you for all you have done for us.
It is interesting to see the difference in her when Thomas (a young child) is around.  For me during the day she is very calm and sleeps quite a bit, and when Tom got home that is when she went dynamite.  Now that Tom is in bed – she has calmed down with just Allan and me.
By the way she is not a whinger YIPPEE, this has just floored me.  Right from the start she would only give a couple of whines and when we didn’t respond, she would lie down and snooze; even this has stopped now. The only time she whined today was at lunch time to tell me she was hungry and boy did she get vocal. So the beauty there is that when she whinges it is for a reason. Let us hope she will continue to be such a great little pup. Most toilet episodes are accomplished outside too. So all in all we are extremely pleased. Tom says thank you for all the gifts.

The puppy pack arrived today, thankyou so much, we weren’t expecting so many gifts for Brandy.  Very exciting stuff – love the clock, very cute & thoughtful of you.  We could have done with the heartbeat cushion from day one. Excellent.
She is a fantastic little girl and is just happy to be by your side all day and will sleep under your chair or next to your feet. She is so clever, if the baby gate isn’t latched, which is how it usually is, she can use her paw to pull it towards her and then scoots around it before it shuts again.
We have loads of reading to do with the Information Pack.  Great stuff.
Thanks again for all the pressies and the beautiful puppy – we think you picked the perfect personality for us. She is lovely.
